On December 20, 2023, the latest Express Entry draw targeting transport occupations sent out 670 invitations to apply for permanent residency.
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for this draw was 435 which is as same as the previous transport occupation draw of September 20, 2023.

Tie-breaking rule: When multiple candidates have the same lowest score, the cut-off is determined by the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
This is the third Express Entry round of invitations this week. Yesterday, On December 19, IRCC invited 1,000 candidates in the second category-based draw for trades occupations. Candidates needed a CRS score of at least 425. The first draw for trades occupations happened on August 3 and invited 1,500 candidates.
Also on December 18, IRCC sent out 1,325 invitations to apply for permanent residency in a general (all program) draw.

Continuation of Express Entry Draws
IRCC usually announces Express Entry draws every two weeks, but there were no invitations between October 26 and December 5, a break of 5 weeks.
However, from December 6th to 8th, IRCC held three consecutive draws, inviting 11,650 candidates to apply for permanent residency. Now, there are two more draws scheduled for this week.
This news is a relief for Express Entry candidates, even though the CRS cutoff score remains high.
It’s just the beginning of the week, and we anticipate more invitation rounds in the coming days since today’s draw had a low number of invitations.
Since December 6, a total of 14,645 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) have been issued in six Express Entry draws, as detailed below:
Canada has issued a total of 109,866 invitations to apply in 41 express entry draws. Among these, 76,700 ITAs were issued during rounds where no specific program was specified.
