What’s Special About the 2024 Job Forum?
This year’s focus is on bilingual jobs in the education sector, known as Destination Canada Education. The forum is for job seekers and employers interested in early childhood educators, primary and secondary school teachers (kindergarten to grade 12), and teachers of French as a second language.
In 2023, the focus was on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Tourism-Hospitality-Culinary sectors.
What Happens at the Job Forum?
Candidates get a chance to interact online with Canadian companies in early childhood and teaching sectors. If your profile matches the job requirements, employers may schedule chat or videoconference interviews.
Participants can learn about accreditation procedures for teachers and educators, connect with French-speaking communities, and get information about Canadian towns, regions, educational systems, and immigration initiatives.
Training seekers can explore bridge programs in early childhood education, and there will be conferences on early childhood programs, teaching in French, and the Canadian school system.
Who Can Participate?
The Destination Canada Mobility forum is free, but an invitation from IRCC is required. It’s open to foreign nationals abroad and those already in Canada with a valid work or study permit.
The Destination Canada Mobility forum is exclusively for French or bilingual (French and English) speakers looking for opportunities in Canada (outside of Quebec) in early childhood education, primary or secondary school teaching, or teaching French as a second language.
IEC pool participants, those in the Express Entry pool, and individuals with a record of prior study or employment in Canada are also eligible.

What is the Destination Canada Mobility Forum?
The Destination Canada Mobility Forum, hosted by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) every March, helps French or bilingual speakers understand Canada’s immigration processes.
It connects them with officials from cities, provinces, territories, and Canadian firms outside of Quebec. The forum also involves Francophone organizations dedicated to strengthening Francophone communities in Canada.
